David Fears' Mark Twain Day By Day has provided me with an excellent base for the where and when of Mark Twain.  This is quite significant when trying to determine Twain's Geography.  I have found we have something in common in that our projects do not deal specifically with Twain's literature.  I can't speak for Fears' motivations except to note that he seems to have wanted to get a handle on what was happening in the man's life at that moment.  For myself, I want to find indications of Twain's interpretation of his where and when.  As I've mentioned before, Twain is my Virgil through a tour of the purgatory of the onset of the "Industrial Age".

Anyway, as of making this entry, I've entered the Day By Day entries up to September of 1879.  This marks his return to the U.S. following more than a year in Europe working on his book, "A Tramp Abroad".  I'm sorry that my efforts are not available for public viewing.  Perhaps someday they will be when I can afford the expense of a web service for it.  The site has outgrown the capabilities of boutique site servers and had been on the AWS cloud.

The Day By Day entries I have available are courtesy of  Center for Mark Twain Studies, as a digital edition.   It has most of the content but is difficult to navidgte.
