This is a book of what may or may not be haiku. I'm intrigued by the idea of expressing ideas and emotions in a very concise and hopefully elegant manner. I have no formal training in haiku but I have been reading a number of web sites on what it is and how it is done. I try to adhere to the 5-7-5 formula but I'm given to understand that these days it is not a requirement. I'm not at all sure what the requirements, if any, really are for that matter. So, recently I acquired an slide scanner and decided to salvage my ancient collection of slides and B&W negatives. Many of the photographs are from my days in the Sierra Nevadas, mostly on and around the Kuna Crest, the topic of my Masters Thesis. Some were taken in Reseda, my home town. A few are from the Portland, Oregon area where for a time I had a career in geography. So, for what it's worth, here is a collection of photographs with words attached that may or may not be haiku.
