August 15,1895, Twain's party stayed at the Hotel Vancouver and lectured at the Vancouver (Imperial) Opera House. They were delayed from the originally scheduled departure date because of repairs need by their ship so Major Pond scheduled an additional lecture for Twain in Victoria.
