Adventures of Huckleberry Finn: The only authoritative text based on the complete, original manuscript by Mark Twain
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I couldn't begin to do this book justice in writing a review. The book is significant on too many levels. First, as entertainment, Twain's humor is infectious and remains relevant to this day. Secondly, as a portrait of the Mississippi River, the physical environment and the cultures found along it's banks provide an excellent perspective and point of comparison with what is found there now. And thirdly, as commentary on American cultural values, hopefully it will make the reader think.
