Briefing for a Descent Into Hell by Doris Lessing

This was my introduction to Doris Lessing. In my youth I often spent time lounging in the local library. This was on the recent addition rack and I picked it up and sat in a provided chair and read it from beginning to end. I can't say I retain much of the story line in my memory but I can say it firmly glued Doris Lessing's name to my reading list. The Canopus in Argos series remains my favorite but I do like On Cats.
